Workmans Home, New Street, Braintree
« on: Tuesday 07 February 17 14:16 GMT (UK) »
My grandmother was living at the above address when she gave birth to one of her children at 142 Rayne Road, Bocking.

Is anyone able to say what either of the addresses may have been in 1930 please?

Thanks
George

142 Rayne Road is the address of St Michael's Hospital which would have been there in 1930. I believe it was formerly the workhouse but I am not sure when it lost that status.
The Workmans Home New Street Braintree appears on the 1939 Register and is occupied by several apparently unconnected persons.
