James Dever? census record 1911

I am looking for any information on James Dever born c. 1906 in Preston. The transcription of the 1911 census has his name as 'Janes' but corrected as 'James'. I can't find a birth for any Dever born 1905/6 with similar name.

I also looked up 'Jones' as that is what it looks like to me but still no luck.

The mmn is Martin.

Could anyone help?

The new GRO index show a James Martin 2nd Q 1905, Preston Vol 8E p 609. No additional MMN, which suggests illegitimate.

No Dever or Dewar, etc.
