Wonderful explanation. Ive sent off for the death certificate that corresponds. If it's the right George Williams then I guess I'll have to try and track down a copy of the will! Again, thank you. SHeila

I agree with Adrian about Probate bearing no relation to the place of death. I have dealt with estates  for relatives, including my husband, who died in Dorset, but their  wills went through Probate in Hampshire. Then my father and grandmother both died in Hampshire, Probate was in London.
