Poor house/Workhouse
« on: Sunday 12 February 17 11:38 GMT (UK) »
Morning Rootschatters from Berkshire,

I've just discovered that my ggrandmother ended her days in a poorhouse/workhouse in Bracknell Berkshire.  The address also mentioned Easthampstead.

I'm writing from the Isle of Man and have never been to the area.   Can anyone help, does the building still exist? If not, where would the records have gone? ::)

Yours hopefully,

The definitive website is www.workhouses.org.uk

The page on Easthampstead is:
http://www.workhouses.org.uk/Easthampstead/ where there are photos taken in 2000.

At the bottom of the page, it states any records are at Berkshire Record Office.
