beatrice fenwick

Hello
I am looking for the elusive Beatrice Fenwick. On her marriage certificate in March 1942 it says she is 21 and Maurice Fredrick Edwards was 27 years of age, her dad was Albert. I am trying to do a 1911 census look up on the address she got married from 17 Dawlish Road Leyton Essex. I know she wasn't even born yet, but hopefully the name of a relative will pop up. I have an ancestry subscription but for the life of me I cant get it to do an address only search. Please can anyone look for me or tell me how to.

kind Regards
Bernie

Hi Bernie,

Who were the witnesses on the marriage cert as sometimes they can help to identify the person you are researching?

To do an address search, go to the 1911 England Census search page and enter:

In "lived in", Leyton, Essex
In "street address", Dawlish.

Then you will get to a whole list of names in alphabetical order.  If you cannot find the one you want then look at some of the other entries and navigate from a suitable odd-numbered one to number 17 Dawlish Rd.
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)

I've tried looking for her birth and there are only 2 Beatrice Fenwicks born between 1920 and 1922
neither in Essex. So perhaps she wasn't local to there.

Yes, that's why she is proving elusive. She is neither of those Beatrice Fenwick's. That's why I thought I would see if there were any Fenwick's at the address on marriage certificate. Her dad was Albert.i am also awaiting a response from Leyton parish church go see if they have a full date of birth or any Fenwick's family details.

I have tried this but it brings up everywhere not just this area.

Hi Bernie

Posting this because we are struggling!

Are you sure that Beatrice' father was an Albert? Or could he have been an Arthur?

Marriages Mar 1910
Attwood    Emily Ada                Worcester    6c   400
COLE    Edmun Charles F    Worcester    6c   400
Daniels    Jessie Beatrice        Worcester    6c   400   ****
FENWICK    Arthur Frank        Worcester    6c   400   ****

The couple are together in 1911 in Handsworth, Birmingham

Now there is this birth?

Births Jun 1921
FENWICK    Beatrice J    Daniels    W.Bromwich    6b   1668

(Handsworth came under West Brom RD)

So if the mother is Jessie Beatrice and she named daughter Beatrice J (possibly Jessie)?

If the correct birth, it looks like Beatrice dropped her second name.

It's the best I can find, sorry!

Giggsy
