There's an old (2008) query on another board about this - a slightly different story?

"....Mary Hutchinson was born 1785 All Saints Hastings she married George Branscomb 1808 It sems they had 2 children Georgina 1812 3x grandmother Mary 1809.
Mary then goes on to have at least 4 illegitimate children George appears to have been ill and she didnt class her self a widow till 1828.she had at least 3 of these children to Samuel Stace the blacksmith
she gave her children the name of Branscombe .
...."

A Mary Hutchinson had an illegitimate daughter, Elizabeth, baptised at All Saints, Hastings on 13 Jan 1808.

If same lady presumably before she married George Branscomb on 03 Aug 1808 at All Saints, Hastings.
