Sandra, many thanks for all this info. I knew some of it but you have filled a few gaps.
What I am now wondering is....Did Evelyn and Frank have any children who might still be living?
Also it's possible that Milton and Azelia had children too and now another generation may still be living.
 I found someone on, I think, Genes Reunited who had shown a section of a family tree with Frank H Gressett. I sent her a message but obviously its over a year since she was online with it so probably hasn't seen my message.
I do appreciate your help and hope that someone else might just give another clue.

Sorry about the delay in replying, Sandra. I will indeed contact this group and hopefully they will be able to help. I really want to bring closure to this family of William even though it was a long time ago when he died. It appears they didn't know what happened to him and I can fill in the details.
