Born - 17 May 1911 (Trenton, NJ)
Parents - Maciej (Michael) S. Roman and Veronic Ortowska

The family moved to the Chicago area in 1913

What other information have you found ? Have you got John and the family on any US census ?

Different name for the father but could this be a possible - West Flournoy St  Chicago Ward 35, Cook (Chicago), Illinois - 1920  ???

Father back to Michael in 1930 but no sign of John - 24 th Street Cicero, Cook, Illinois - 1930

He disappears after the 1920 census. Not sure if he died, re-located, or joined the military and re-located/deployed.

Father Michael passed away 23 July 1950 - might be a good idea to try and find an obituary to see which children are mentioned.  ???

His father went by a variety of names including Mark, Matthew, Michael, Michall, and Mike. I suspect his English was pretty bad which accounts for all of the variations.

Have you contacted the cemetery where the parents are buried to see if John Roman is also buried there  ???

I sent an inquiry to the cemetery - awaiting any info they could provide.

I agree about the obits - I need to figure out how to obtain them from Chicago.
