I'm currently looking for anyone who would have been living in Nisbet House,Hackney,London,UK in 1982.

' Six-storeyed blocks forming Nisbet House, with 311 flats, were opened by Hackney in 1938.'

So ER for names?

I'm looking for anyone that can remember a house fire at 99a Nisbet House that started on Boxing Day (26th December 1982) which killed a lady called Mary Clark (previous surname Welsh).

Or anyone who may have known Mary before her death.

My dad tried this approach to find a cousin using an address in Wales from 60 years earlier.......it worked! People in the area were still in touch with the family and dad was in contact again with his cousins, and their families, until he died.

I cannot see a death for 'Mary Clark' in Hackney, nor a marriage of Mary Welsh to Clark.

Could Mary have been her second name?

Do you know roughly when she was born?

A long shot:

Mary Clark   MarQ 1983   Hackney  12   1747     birth date:  2 March 1936

Allowing for Christmas/weekend closure perhaps her death was registered in January 1983.   

Do you know how old Mary was?

It is not a long shot. When I tried to find possible deaths and put in exact for Hackney, got nothing for 'Mary Clark'.
