MINISTER
« on: Saturday 04 March 17 10:16 GMT (UK) »
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place for this one.  I'm searching for information on father and son George Herbert Lock b.1868 and son George Henry Lock b.1889.  I have information that son was born in Hull and his father was a Minister in the New Jerusalem Church in 1891.  I'm not sure if son was born in Knowle, Somerset and later lived in Twickenham or am I getting father and son confused and I don't have deaths for either of them.
I'm interested in NJC and have done some research on it but can't find where father was a Minister. The family obviously moved around some as George jnr was in Manchester and France in 1920s
Any information about his Ministry in the NJC appreciated.

Hope this might be a little helpful!

Well - one of them anyway!

Thanks you very much stanmapstone for the information.  I wonder how he became involved in this church.
Since my last post I have found that when he was 23 he was lodging in Lancashire while studying Theology.  I don't know where though.  Also he was married in a New Jerusalem Church in 1886

The birth of George Henry Lock was registered in the Sculcoates Registration District March ¼
1890. In 1901 George Herbert Lock, born Knowle, Somerset, was a Corporation Clerk, Chorlton upon Medlock, and his wife Gertrude was a music teacher, as she was in 1891. RG13; Piece: 3697; Folio: 65; Page: 44

Thanks all for the information you have found for me.  Could anyone pin down for me a death date for George Henry Lock b.Feb 1889 in Hull and a death date for his wife Elizabeth Ann Watson.  I had believed she died young as he had another woman in later life living in Middlesex but I wonder if she did die or they divorced and if he ever married the second woman.
Any help appreciated.
