I am trying to gather information on Charles Clarke, he married there in 1901 to Euphemina Ross he had left Taroom in Queensland to go to New Zealand but do not known any more of his happening, are you able to help me in this request,
he was born on the 22 may 1849 at St Mary Bryanston Square when he went to NZ he had a defacto at Taroom Hotel in the name of Elizabeth Baird they had three sons, he was aslo married to a Emily Thompson in 1878 at Emeral Hill in Victoria, he seems to have stayed with each woman about eleven years, hope you can help

[Died 1911 -- buried with wife Euphemia (d. 1947) ]

At a follow-up Court hearing re: above "Racecourse Incident", Charles CLARKE the arrested man was described as "a young man" (and leniency was sought because of his youth).   [So not your man - who was aged around 50 years at the time.]

i found on trove that he had the New Zealand Laundry Company Quay STreet Auckland

I also have a thread on Australia Roots Chat and so not sure how to link them but what I want to find out is on Charles Clarke marriage cert it states that he was a grazier at Kaukapakapa when he married Euphemia Ross in 1901 in Auckland,, have you got a contact in what department that I can obtain some records if there is any
