I think it says "supposed to be dead" but difficult to see such a small image. Certainly not 'reported' as there are 2 ps in the first word.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I think it reads happened to be dead.

Maybe be a presumed dead case but recorded in odd terminology
