GRO Registration/Reference number query

How can I find out what district a GRO Reference number specifically refers to for a birth registered
c 1970.

The reference is 9C 2927.

Husselbe (Shropshire), Harper (Claverley, Stoke, Warwick, Birmingham) Lloyd (Shropshire & Birmingham) Pitt (Birmingham) Francis (Shropshire) Lloyd (Shropshire & Birmingham). Taylor (Birmingham).  Mellon(Mallon), Convery, Atchison (Gateshead & Ireland).

Births in 1970 with that reference are either Coventry or Meriden registration district

There will be one of that ref for each year.

Most seem to be Meriden (Warwickshire) but some Nuneaton, from what I can see, just putting in that ref and 1970 +/- 5 yrs
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Thank you both so much for your very quick responses.

I had previously done as you suggested and came up with Meriden, Coventry and Nuneaton but wasn't 100% sure I knew what I was doing.

Does the GRO ref number (9C 2927) include births registered in Birmingham as well.
