Looking for Julia Bardwell burial place
« on: Monday 20 March 17 22:46 GMT (UK) »
My gggg aunt Julia BARDWELL died 30/4/1872 in Brighton at the age of 35.  Her last known address was 12 Grand Parade, Brighton.  Her death was noted in the Derby Mercury (she was born in Shardlow, Derbyshire) in April.  Can anyone help trace her burial place?  Her husband Thomas BARDWELL may have died in Steyning in 1900.  Many many thanks in advance for any help.

I think I am correct in saying that there are no burial grounds linked to churches in central Brighton except that of St. Nicholas which wouldn't have been the nearest to Grand Parade - that would likely be the Brighton parish church of St Peter's.

I should therefore think it more than likely that the burial would be at one of the municipal cemeteries see link https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/content/community-and-life-events/deaths-funerals-and-cemeteries/brighton-hove-portslade-cemeteries.

Sorry only just noticed that this is the same link as that posted by groom.

No problem, Pheno - great minds think alike!

As you know the exact date of death Hunnibee, a search should be easy but it does look as if they charge even if they don't find anything.
