1881 Golden Age Hotel, Stafford St, Dunedin

Hello,

I have recently discovered that an ancestor, Henry Paget (1854-1906), was the Licensee of the old Golden Age Hotel, Stafford St, Dunedin in 1881. He had previously been stationed in Dunedin in the Police Force.

Does anyone know where I might obtain an old photo of the Golden Age Hotel, or of Stafford St, Dunedin in 1881?

According to "Pubs Galore", the Golden Age was on the south side, one door above Hope Street. It lost its licence in 1885. In the 1970s, I lived for a time just across the road, on the corner of Hope and Stafford streets.

Note - edited to correct date of loss of licence.

I've attached a picture from Google Earth, showing the site as it appears now. The person is walking up Stafford Street, and the street to the left is Hope.
