Purcell Family Cheshire/Shropshire

Good morning,

I have become stuck and hoped someone would be able to assist.
I am struggling to locate parents & grandparents for James Purcell (Purcel) born 1814 Township of Bickley, Cheshire he married Jane Dod 1832 in the same parish. James passed away in Whitchurch Shropshire Oct 1880. Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is a James Purcel baptised 22 June 1807 in Malpas. Parents are George and Elizabeth Purcel of Bickley.

If it helps, Bickley was part of the Parish of Malpas until it got it's own church in 1893. It is about 3 miles away from Malpas and Malpas is 5 miles from Whitchurch.

Hi,
If I have the right family, in 1851 & 1871 Census, James gaves his place of birth as Malpas, Cheshire. In 1861, he gave Norbury, Cheshire as his birthplace. Norbury is, I think, in the parish of Marbury, an adjacent parish to Malpas.
There is a James son of Charles & Hannah Pursell baptized at Marbury on the 1st March 1812 according to Family Search.
