There are 3 deaths on Scotland's People for a John Wright Fowler

John Wright Fowler 1938 age 46 years Bridgeton Glasgow ( would give him birth year abt 1892 )

Could be a possibility

Rosie

Thank you Rosie. 1892 would be about right as he was 9yrs old on the 1901 census.

You were spot on Rosie :D

This must be who you mean - 1901 Census - 24 Adelphi St Bridgeton Glasgow

Daniel Fowler   37 Jane G F Fowler   37
William F Fowler   12 John W Fowler   9
Jessie Mcd Fowler 7 Catherine F Fowler   4

Daniel Fowler and Jane Gordon Fleming

FLEMING JANE GORDON - 1885 - 644/3 145 - Dennistoun.

FOWLER JOHN WRIGHT - M - 1891 - 644/1 1251 - Bridgeton  ???

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XTF9-X2Q

This John W Fowler was born 1891  he was 9 years old on this census but in your original post you said he was 32 years old when he died in 1918 - that would have made his birth 1886  ??? Or have I got it wrong  ???

Sandra

I did strongly suspect that you had the wrong person.  Its always best to say what you know and not what someone else says on there ancestry tree - otherwise your family tree  will end up in a mess.  People tend to copy from one ancestry tree to another and this is where things get distorted.
Pleased you are on the right track now.

Its unbelievable the number of people who copy wrong information on ancestry without checking - the subject of many discussions/posts on here.  Even when people advise them they have the wrong info, they ignore or do not alter there trees - so the whole sequence escalates  ::)

Just checking through - are you still looking for the military records of the John W Fowler son of Daniel and Jane born 1891/2 who is NOT the MGC Fowler commemorated on the Soissons memorial.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe

It appears to have been an error on Ancestry. The John W Fowler I mentioned, son of Daniel and Jane born 1891/2 died in 1938. Unless, he was in the military at some stage.

I think the answer to your question Max, is yes - the poster would like military information on John Wright Fowler if there is any.

You're right Sandra. I should have said yes instead of giving a long winded reply.
