WWI CEF Personnel Files, 1914 - 1918
« on: Sunday 26 March 17 06:56 BST (UK) »
I have been unable to access Canada, WWI CEF Personnel Files, 1914 - 1918 on Ancestry.com as premier membership is required which I do not have.

If anyone has access to this and is willing to copy this record for me it would be greatly appreciated.  The person of interest is:

Henry Arbuckle
Born 13 July 1888
Residing Vancouver BC
Regimental Number 2015735.

Regards
Sharon

They are free to view at Library and Archives Canada.

This is the link for Henry:

They take a long time to load. Seriously, go put the kettle on for tea while you wait.  ::)

Thanks bbart - much appreciated.

I'm in Australia and our libraries don't have access to Canadian information on Ancestry, unfortunately.

Warm regards
Sharon

You are more than welcome!
You may already have his death certificate, but just in case, it is viewable at familysearch:

Very sad.

A few more snippets of info you night not have - all helps with time frame.

U.S., Border Crossings from Canada to U.S., 1825-1960 - Henry Arbuckle - born 1888 Carlisle England  ??? and aged 33 years - single - Glasgow to Quebec - arriving 1 November 1921 - on the Tunisian
brother-in-law Mr Logan 28a Sunnyside Road. Final destination Chicago Illinois. Last permanent address is over-written - Scotland/Lafayette Philadelphia PA  ??? Had been in the USA 1911 - 1921 Chicago Illinois - sister Mrs D Dunnett 10149 State Street Chicago.

The 28a Sunnyside Road (Alloa Scotland) address is the same as on the attestation papers.
