Dear Ambly and Sandra
Thank you so much for all your posts - they are amazing - I borrowed a load of letters from my sister in law and got really quite worried about William and his family, with no way I could see of finding out if they had survived the awful drought - and it looks as though the rains eventually came and life became better, though it doesn't look as if William had a very long life, does it :(.
Thank you very much

You're very welcome.  Perhaps William passed away between 1949 and when we found Jessie living with her son John in 1957.

Hi Derby Girl

I did some searching around for you and have come up with a bit of information on William from a history book titled" Reflections of the Quills". I am having the information sent to me and I'll pass it on to you when I receive it. PM me with your email.

William married Jessie Capon in 1928 and he passed away in the 1950's. Jack was her son from her first marriage. Have not found a burial for him yet.

Cheers
