Cootamundra has a heritage centre perhaps contacting them may help.

Also try contacting the Cootamundra Library it has been my experience that a lot of libraries

have copies of their cemetery records. I think the transcripts of the cemetery were originally

done by a Canberra group. Australian Cemetery Index should give you contact details.

Hope this is of some use, sorry I can't help further but will be out all day.

Cheers
Joy

This site http://www.australiancemeteries.com.au/nsw/cootamundra/cootamundragen.htm directs you to here http://familyhistoryact.org.au/index.php/research

They say they have extensive cemetery records and transcripts and give an e-mail address for queries.

Welcome from me too.

I wonder if this thread would benefit from being on the Australia Board?

I will have a good look this evening (it is morning tea time here at the moment) through my hardcopy NSW records to see if I can be of help.

The publication shows all of the writing and names of those buried in each section or those cremated which appear on the columbarium wall at the Cootamundra Cemetery.

The book is also held at the National Library of Australia, in Canberra ACT, and State Library of NSW (Sydney) and State Library of Victoria (Melbourne).

As you are in Australia perhaps your public library can arrange an inter-library loan ?

Thanks to you JM

How does one access the Australian Board ?
Have contacted member of Cootamundra Historical Society re there new publication on the Cootamundra Cemetery not sure if this will help as I spent several hours  photographing head stones myself and will overlay on the copy's of the cemetery plans that the library has .
As family members have no Headstones the task is a little harder but sure there must be records
some were of all persons burial locations .

Ron
