I've had a look on the Commonwealth wargraves commission site and the only Alfred Brock they have listed is an Australian who died in New Britain.
Nothing under Brock for Dunkirk area or time period.

onecoat, was this fellow a direct relative ie father/grandfather, here is a link for obtaining Service Records, this might be the way to go.

There is lots of help on the Armed Forces Board or tell us what you already know and what you want to know and lets see if we can help?

Hi,
Our family rumour was that my Grandfather was missing presumed killed at Dunkirk during WWII. That's also what Dad was told when he applied for the RN back in the 40's & searched for his missing father via Somerset House. 50 or so years later I took up the search to find out what really happened to my Grandfather. CWGC didn't have him & neither did NAM. With the help of a researcher in England we ascertained that Gramps survived Dunkirk, survived Italy too and lived on until 1982. Sadly, we found this out in 2000 so I never met Gramps who had married again before serving at Dunkirk. So keep this in mind that your relative might also have survived Dunkirk.  :D

Regards,
Candy
