Hi
Thomas Lancelot Robson died from a work related accident at Clarke Chapman. B 26 May 1896 in Gateshead. There are 2 deaths recorded in 1935 One in  Gateshead one in Newcastle Mar 1935 & June 1935 the ages were 37 at death I'd expect 39. Would the coroner have records for public view?
Clarke Chapman made pumps for coal mines so imagination is doing overtime

Individual Coroners decide what happens to the papers very many of them were destroyed by the coroner, hence there are regional variations in survival. The appropriate county record office, will almost certainly know what is available and where it is.
Under the Home Office Circular 250/1967, a schedule of destruction of coroners records is laid down. While they are within the definition of public records and open to the public after 75 years many will not have survived those 75 years. Once 15 years old the records can be weeded,' that is destroyed or sampled by the individual coroner concerned.

That's a wow Thanks.
The traffic accident one fits the age. 16 June 1935 Durham Road near Raby Street, Thomas Robson 39 years, of 149 Rawling Road Railway Wagon Examiner, Knocked over crossing the road, registered by Coroner.

The Clarke Chapman one fits accounts

Seems the Clarke Chapman accident was registered by the coroner at Newcastle Mar Q 1935 & not Gateshead. Front St is Gateshead . Odd

I took Front Street, Gateshead to be his home address. He was detained in Newcastle Infirmary with internal injuries - and presumably died there.

Per the GRO online index he was:

ROBSON, THOMAS  LANCELOT  aged 37

1935 March Quarter in NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE  Volume 10B  Page 118

Front street must be the home address then. Are the papers online free? My old computer stopped working last year so all my saved pages over several years were lost. Even basic searches seem harder these days. Cheers Bill B
