Harrison
« on: Tuesday 18 April 17 21:03 BST (UK) »
Need some help with a distant great aunt.  Her name is Hazel Masour.  Maybe spelt with a Z.   Born June 1948 possibly in Newcastle and may have married a chap called Harrison and lived in the Bishop Auckland area.  The last person who kept in touch said she died??   Be fascinating to see a little info.

Although Hazel may have died - her husband and any children could still be alive.  Rootschat has a no living persons policy so any information about them could not be posted here

You perhaps need to go back to the person who was in touch for more info.  There is also no birth registration for either spelling of her surname so that also need to be clarified

No obvious birth on Free BMD/GRO online index, as Carole says.

Hazel HARRISON, b. 9 June 1948, d. 25 June 2007, Sidcup, Kent - possible?

If Hazel is your great-aunt, presumably you know her mother's maiden name? (Same as your grandmother/grandfather.) That might help us find her birth/marriage.

That previous post gave yet another spelling for her maiden name.  As you must know the correct spelling of your grandmother/ grandfathers surname why is there uncertainty about Hazel's?

Have you looked on freebmd for her birth registration?

Hi USUser

We can see CaroleW's query.
We can also see that you logged on after that post.

Please give an answer?
Please give us all of the details of how Hazel relates to you/you grand-parents?

Without the details that you have got you will be wasting our time/efforts which could be better spent assisting someone else.

I make no apologies for being so blunt.

So, come on, there are a number of people on Rootschat who really do want to help, INCLUDING ME.

Please make it easier to help you.

Awating a response NEXT time that you log on to Rootschat.

Regards
Ray

I instigated pm contactact with poster to clarify some things.  The reply confirms what I thought and at this stage, there is no point progressing further as the situation is complicated and the name(s) may be incorrect

It would be inappropriate to post any further info at this stage and I will be asking the moderator to lock the post

Any help that can be given will be by pm

Communication works ( when it's used )

It also helps to stop wasted time/effort.
