Tracking Down M Donnelly In 1891 Census
« on: Thursday 27 April 17 23:12 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to track down a female who is listed on the death certificate of an ancestor of mine. Her name is "M Donnelly", in july 1892 she is living at number 8 Franklin Street Glasgow. She is the niece of a lady who was born in 1830 so was probably born around 1860 ish.

I was thinking the 1891census would be the best chance of finding her, can anyone help?

Thanks

Margaret Nixon was living at 4 Franklin Street in 1881 - her parents were a John Nixon bc.1828 Glasgow and Mary Devlin bc.1827 Ireland - they had at least 5 children:

Mary b.2/3/1849, bp.11/3/1849 St. Marys RC, Glasgow (shown as Maryann on 1851 census)
John bc.1851 Glasgow
Richard b.6/4/1853, bp.14/4/1853 St. Marys RC, Glasgow
Margaret b.3/4/1855, bp.11/4/1855     ditto
Catherine b.15/12/1856, bp.21/12/1856    ditto    (died 1857)

Catherine's death shown 1857, as was their mother Mary's.

In 1861 John 9, Richard 7 and Margaret 6 are shown as boarders with a family named Naismith but I can't find their father John on any census after 1851.
