Sorry, I don't have any info about records but I am interested to find out also. My late Mum (1930-1978) was in the Legion of Mary probably somewhere around the same period. She 'served her time' in Enniscorthy, Wexford and Dublin. I think in that order between 1945- 1958. She told me this photo was when she was young in the Legion of Mary. I have no idea when or where she was in the Legion. The photo is a very small one and poor quality so hard to judge my Mothers age.  Indeed I know nothing about the Legion of Mary- e.g. was there an age limit?

Thanks Conahy calling, I googled it myself but could find nothing about records or where they might be. I was intrigued to read that one of the leading lights back in the day was the Venerable Edel Quinn. I remember my Mum saying that is who my sister was named after I thought she was someone my Mum knew, silly me!!! I must ask my sister if she knows.

Many thanks for your replies atMartinas and Conahy Calling.
I did google that Wikipedia link to the Legion of Mary but unfortunately there was nothing to indicate where the records might be kept.
My late mother was in the Wexford Legion of Mary from possibly the late forties to late fifties. What I remember her telling us was that their meetings took place in a room over Dun Mhuire , the Wexford Parish Hall on South Main Street Wexford. They did charity work as well as praying. But thats all I know.
I would like to learn a little more but perhaps someone with more knowledge might point us in the right direction.

Regards,
Summerhill.

Won't help with the Wexford Legion but you can read about Dublin Diocese Legions when they were reported on in the Kildare Observer to get an idea what it was like.
Just put Legion of Mary in the search.

They have a web site

I thought it was long gone.
