What does this say??

Hi!

Just need help in deciphering where this is in reference to. It's on a birth certificate as place of abode, it's in England somewhere but I can't make out what it says?

Could it be 8 Redan Gdns (Gardens)  :-\

Possibly Aldershot, Hampshire  ;D

Oh thank you, looks like it. The father was in the 84th Royal Artillery. A year later a daughter was born in 1900 in Glasgow. Anyone know why he would have been stationed in aldershot?

Aldershot has been called the Home of the British Army.  I used to live near there so recognised the road name.  Do you have his Army records.
