1932: 50 Middle Abbey Street: St. Patrick's Guild.  Miss M. Cruice, Hon Secretary.

Quotation from Directory: 'The guild of St. Patrick attends to all cases of infant distress and where necessary adopts destitute children.  Free medical treatment is given at the dispensary, under the charge of a competent qualified physician who is assisted by a trained nurse.  Poor mothers are helped in various ways.  No case is ever turned away without some attempt being made to give assistance.'

Miss Cruice and the Guild continued at that address until 1963, when the Guild was taken over by the Irish Sisters of Charity.  The building was demolished and re-built for the Irish Sisters of Charity in 1967.

You could contact the Irish Sisters of Charity to see whether they hold the records of the Guild - e-mail archives@rsccaritas.com
