As a result of some great info in reply to a search for Sarah Ann's sister I am searching for additional details on Elizabeth S A Barnard.

Elizabeth Jones 1824–?

We know she had the following siblings

Lucy Caroline Barnard 1847–1904 Passed Bethnal Green, London
   
David John Barnard 1850–1931 Passed in Canada
   
William Henry Barnard 1853–1915 Passed in Canada
   
Thomas Henry Barnard 1854–1917 Passed in Canada

Early research had her married to Mr Harris and had a family going to New Zealand.

Thanks to post below from forum user JOROSE, it looks like she may have come to Canada as did other family members.

The record seems to show she was divorced (D on record) Assuming the name spelled as Burnard is an error made by person recording but...   Parent names certainly seem a match.

My search has not found an earlier marriage in Canada or England and passage records don't seem to show her.

A Sarah Barnard married Phillip Harris  1872 and went to New Zealand.
From the marriage certificate her father was Thomas Barnard so not the one you are looking for.

It is more likely a rounded 'S' otherwise you would have a very high percentage of divorced women on that page, and some very young ones at that.

Thanks @Dundee.  That makes perfect sense.  Now it looks very likely that we have a marriage for the correct person. 

Now need to find the married couple on Canada

Found Elizabeth and her husband Samuel John Kelly in the Hamilton Ontario area.

He was previously married and had at least four children with his first wife Mary Morrow 1853-1904.  He was a carpenter as were several Barnard relatives.  He lived in Brantford, Ontario in 1901 as did some of the Barnard family so possibly knew Elizabeth at that time as families were in same trade

Elizabeth passed 19 OCT 1942 at 82 Burris St, Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada

Samuel John Kelly passed 17 NOV 1939 • 34 Grant Ave, Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario, Canada
