William Charles Terry b Q2 1896 Wandsworth
« on: Wednesday 14 June 17 13:12 BST (UK) »
The above was the son of John Ashley Terry 1856-1917 and Eliza nee Brown b 1857 . At 1911 the family were living at 25 Ashbury Road, Battersea.
After that it looks a bit fuzzy, he may have married Florence May Skinner in 1915 in Wandsworth but looking at the 1939 register, she seems to be recorded as Florence Margaret b1896; there is a death for William in Barnstaple, Devon in 1971 but this doesn't seem to be the same one and a death in Hendon for Florence M in 1970.
Help please.

Part of the 1915 WW1 army papers for the William Charles Terry who married Florence May Skinner are online.

They married 20 March 1915 at Wandsworth Reg Office and were then living in Margate.

He clains to be 22 so born 1893.

Yes I've seen that and I wonder if it's the same one as a chap with that name died in Thanet in the 1950's?

They move out sometime after 1961, can't give you a more specific date as the registers are not complete

Frances Margaret or Margaret Frances died in Hastings in 1975

He most probably died between 1961 and 1969 as his name and exact date of birth don't match up on the death index after 1969.

Nearest is William C Terry aged 71 in 1967 at Droxford
