Sentence on 19th century Scottish Will
« on: Thursday 22 June 17 11:29 BST (UK) »
Hi
Please could anyone confirm what I believe this reads?

'Interest thereon to date of oath to Inventory'

I just wonder if it actually should be date of death but does look like oath ?

Thanks

It does look like oath plus the d in date looks a very clear d determining the difference.

I think it does say 'the date of the oath to the Inventory'. I assume that date would be when the Inventory was signed & ratified.
