Looks very much like Janeant, which doesn't sound like a surname. She was the occupier of where he died - what was the address?

To follow on from Groom's question, as well as address & reg. dist. what year as it may be possible to locate said person on a census?

Mary Jane Farrant  ???

Underneath it says Andrew Hartley Death 1865 - also GRONI - if it is - there wouldn't be a census.

There was a Andrew Hartley born 1798 (aged 67 years) death in Ballymoney 1865

Might the surname be Lamont?

Heather,

Now that you have given that as a possible it does look like it could be either  :-\

The initial capitals are not too prominent & there's not enough of the doc. for comparison.

In my opinion the initial capital is most probably a T.

I don't think it is either F or L.

I read it as Lamont, too - before I saw that Heather had.
