You have now found a death cert in 1880 for Jane Kelly, Teresa's mother? Where was it and what does it say about her? Is this the death for a Jane Kelly/O'Connor aged 56 who died in Dennistoun?

....I have never found an entry for 1911. But this may be because they moved to Fleetwood in England briefly. I couldn't tell you precisely when unfortunately.....

Tony, had a look at the DC for Jane Kelly/O'Connor. A clip below that you have already. As you can see, the address showing for Jane at the time of her death is 7 Armour Street.

I think this is widower (need to be checked) James O'Connor in 1881 at that address:

There is a marriage in 1881 in Glasgow/Blackfriars for a James O'Connor to a Sarah McVicar and a Sarah Clark (same refs...maybe also a widow?). Wondering if this is James and a remarriage? If correct, the marriage cert would let you confirm his parents' names.

I do not think that the 1890 death you mentioned earlier for a James O'Connor is the right one as that James showed as a jobbing jeweller.

PS: Still can't see anything for Teresa's early years  .....Given the age of parents and her confusion on her early years and birth place....hard to say at the moment what happened until we pick her up from 1881.

Hello All,

Thanks for all that info. It's good to clear up more info on James O'Connor. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if Jane Kelly who died in 1880 is actually Teresa's Mother now. Looking again at her marriage to Eugene Gallagher in 1893, it seems to say Jane Keys and not Jane Kelly. Any ideas where to go from here? I'm thinking myself of looking more into the McCaffrey family to see if that yields anything.

Knowing Teresa's husband is from Irvinestown, County Tyrone in Ireland do you think it is worth checking for her birth in that area?
