I realise that, it was just illustrative of the placement of tramlines. The same applies to Leeds, the only place (Blackpool and Crich excepted) that I've been on a tram.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Last time I was on a tram, I think it was Blackpool and I was 7. I remember they were double ended - driver used to nip off at the end of the route and go to the other end to drive it back  ;D

I think all electric trams were double ended in the old days.  They had to swing round the mast thingy (on the end of which was the "trolley" which ran on the overhead cable) at the end of the journey before reversal.

Google tells me that Leeds had trams till 1959.  I expect it was a year or two earlier that I went on one.  We had to change stations at Leeds en route to Cumberland.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

How about lots of artistic license for a view from the left of the attached?

I think you're right , despair.  In the painting, you can see the dome, covered with snow, above the illuminated shop - it's on the corner to the left of the monument in the photo. Also the roof windows in the building on the right can be seen far right in the photo.

Here is a link to a photo of a double decker tram; its route is from Bastille so also links in with painting.  http://paris1900.lartnouveau.com/paris00/les_tramways.htm  Scroll about halfway down the page.

Certainly looks right, well done.

I had a gut feeling Paris, but didn't say as I had nothing to prove it.  ::) ::)
