It's the beginning of the middle line, before what I think says "by the said Bonds" that I'm struggling with.   It has been inserted after "debts due" and before "to them and the said Joane".

As always I'll be very grateful for any help.

But I'm not sure how the words what remain would fit the context -- unless perhaps there's an implied comma after remain and before sums ? Alternatively, I may have misread it.

Once again you're amazing!   I'd never have worked that out in a hundred years.   Thank you so much.   I may be back as there are a few other puzzles but I'll do my best to resolve them for a bit longer.
