Son of Major General Henry Hugh Tudor?
« on: Sunday 23 July 17 16:44 BST (UK) »
I have spent a long time researching Major General H.H.Tudor since obtaining his complete uniform collection from WW1 to Ireland 1919-22. Also his uniforms from his time after Ireland when he set up a new Palestine Police Force in late 1922. I have been trying to piece together his family whome he left behind in the UK and went to live in St Johns Newfoundland. I know his daughters both died as spinsters but his son may have joined the RAF as a pilot?? and flew Mosquito aircraft. Information I found on shipping records show in 1932 a Henry Lee Tudor age 22 (Bank Clerk) visited Newfoundland and his address given was 1 Crag Path Aldeburgh. Suffolk. The document seemed to suggest he may have resided in the USA for awhile. I am trying also to find out if he married and had siblings. All help would be much appreciated. Gerry

Ancestry has a certificate for him flying a Tiger Moth 9.8.1939 which gives his address as Deepdene, Aldeburgh, Suffolk. DOB as 10th Oct 1910 at Ixworth. It also has a photo of him.

From that it doesn't look as if there were children. I can't see any in Freebmd.

Thank you so much everyone for the information you have provided so far, I will get a copy of the will and see if it opens anymore doors for me. I found General Tudors life very difficult to get information on at first but thanks to people in Newfoundland over the years I have managed to see some light at the end of the tunnel. The will may unlatch some more important information on the Tudor family.
