Harry Kemp M.M.
« on: Monday 24 July 17 14:59 BST (UK) »
I'm hopeful that someone can tell me more about my Uncles Military Medal.  All I know is he was from Grantham and served with the Coldstreams.

With thanks. David.

Agree with Shaun J - He was 9472 Cpl (Lance Serjeant) H Kemp 1st Battalion CG , London Gazette 24 Jan 1919.  No citation, among many pages of awards.

Archivist of the Coldstreams will likely have details.
I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

There's a report of the award in the Grantham Journal of 5 October 1918. He had served 4 continuous years in France, and had been several times mentioned in despatches. 8 years service altogether.
