Date Please for this studio photograph

Sadly just lost my mum in law, and we found various B&W photographs which we didn't know she had, this is just one, that has something written on the back, Mum E 



Can somebody come up with a possible date and age for the Lady in the photo, as this will be a great help in identifying who she is.

Late 1920`s to early 1930`s.
Early twenties, the waist was dropped but the thirties saw the waist back  at the natural level.

I have photos of my mother with her hair in that style from the late 1920s and  early 1930s. I can date the one that is most like this  one to circa 1932/33.

The late 20's early 30's would fit in with Gt Nan Ellen, who was born in 1895

I ponder if this is late 20's as Ellen, as Ellen lost David her husband in 1930.  I can rule out some other studio photographs from being her children as the ages will not fit in with this photograph.

My first thought on seeing this was 1920s and the dress may have been adapted to suit for a forth coming baby as her waist looks rather thick. I would say that she doesn't look to be approaching 40... more 30ish.
