I am wondering if anyone can help me find anything about my great grandfather George Thompson . I only know that he was living in Bubwith  when his son William was born in 1863 . I believe he probably worked as a farm labourer as that is what his son did for a living . I would be so grateful for any help .Regards Tiptop

Do you have any censuses for either of them?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Bubwith is in the Howden Registration District. There is birth for a William Thompson Dec 1863 Howden vol 9d p 78 mmn Burton

Marriage George Thompson/Ann Burton ec 1862 Selby 9c 778

Birth George Thompson Dec 1841 Howden 23 49 mmn Longfellow

Marriage Matthew Howden/Susannah Longfellow Dec 1838 Howden 23 113

George is with Matthew and Susannah in the 1851 Census. Matthew is a Shepherd and Labourer.

Ann Burton, full age, spinster of Riccall.  Father:  George, Labourer

Witnesses:  John Wood, Jane Burton (x) and William Thompson

18 December 1838 - Bubwith - by Banns
Matthew Thompson (x), full age, bachelor, Man Servant of Bubwith.  Father:  Joseph, Labourer
Susanna Longfellow (x), full age, spinster, Maid Servant of Bubwith.  Father:  George, Miller

Witnesses:  Rebecca Harrison, Thos Ross and Thos Smith
