Where did Marguerite McLarty die?
« on: Sunday 27 August 17 23:15 BST (UK) »
Hi,
This is one of my most frustrating brick walls that I come back and try and crack every now and again, hoping 2017 is going to be the year (with a little help)!

Marguerite McLarty was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1904 to David & Alma McLarty.
I can pick her up to the 1940 census still living in Milwaukee with just her mother (following divorce of Alma and David years earlier). Marguerites occupation is given as teacher at a public school.

Marguerites father David died in 1951 and in his obituary it stated Marguerite died in 1945.  As she lived in Milwaukee her whole life and didn't seemingly marry it seemed logical to think this was where she had died.  I contacted a local volunteer for Milwaukee through RAOGK who kindly picked up the search for her death and eventually confirmed no death for Marguerite in Milwaukee.

I would appreciate any assistance to confirm death was definitely in 1945, where and then hopefully I could home in on a death notice or obituary.  Marguerites mother did not die until 1968.

Thank you.

Did the obituary say where her father was buried?  Maybe she is buried in the same place.

There's another snippet from the day before that indicates it was Marguerite:  http://www.rootschat.com/links/01km3/
