Hello There.....

Iam wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a inscription on my  grandfathers grave ?
He was interred 28th August 1933. Section 2/ Row 9/ Plot 6383

He deserted my grandmother in 1923 . arriving Fremantle 8th February 1923. My father was 2 years old.

In 1930/31 he was living at 3 Briellat street , Dalley.

he was also a member of Oxford Lodge. RAOB GLE

I been informed that he married a Alice Foster ?

Can anyone help please ? I have exhausted my knowledge of Australian research.

I can't see his death on NSWBDM, or Rookwood Catholic deceased search website.

I can't see a NSW marriage to Alice either.

In 1930/31 he was living at 3 Briellat street , Dalley.


I believe Dalley was an electoral area and Breillat St was in Annandale, Sydney.

In 1931 a man named

Joseph Maurice HARRISON was living at 3 Briellat Street. Kentville. (possibly meant to be Breillat).
He was a labourer.
No others of the surname share that address.

Was the initial M in the name you have given standing for Maurice?

Perhaps a co-incidence that there's two chaps with same surname in same street...

Kentville was an estate in Annandale. The owner John Young, died 1907, so it is possible the estate was subdivided for housing.
