Where do i go to get an account of what might have happened about this time?

The next three children born in the greater family were all Percival Reginald Eric....... to commemorate him.

Hi Jack...I think this is him:

http://honouringanzacs.net.au/view-anzac-searched.php?aid=211153&anzactype=4&search_text=Creighton,%20Percival%20Reginald%20Eric

You can view his service record all 46 pages and you can also create a memorial certificate for him and add a photo if you have one.

Hi,

The 46th Battalion AIF was an Infantry Battalion in the Australian Army, info about it from wikipedia here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/46th_Battalion_(Australia)

Online War Diaries for the Battalion here: https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/C1339183

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David

Teetotal - what was your relatives name?
He died the same day that Percy died of GSW to the head on the 9th April.
The first battle of Bullecourt started on the 11th April 1917. So both were killed before the disaster of the  first battle. It sounds like Percy may have been picked off by a sniper or he just failed to keep his head down.

Cheers
Jack Gee
