Have you found him on the CWGC site? I've had a look but although there are quite a few Donald Stewarts, I can't see one that was a L/Cpl.

Same as Groom.
The MIC's has just 1 Donald Stewart L/Cpl. 6/Seaforths 3204/266217. Numbers indicate he was a Territorial & re-numbered in 1917. His card says he was demobbed. It's possible he died after the war ended & that's why he's not on the CWGC list.

I couldn't find him on CWGC site either , but there is this record :

Lance Corporal Donald STUART S/6682 8th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders died 27.08.1917
aged 23 , son of Donald and Isabella Stuart of Lochfilmington, Gollanfield , Inverness shire.

https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/826620/stuart,-donald/

I looked up the parish of Petty on Genuki and the entry mentions Gollanfield :

This could be Donald with parents in 1901 Geddes Village Nairnshire

Donald Stuart   40 Isabella Stuart   40
Jane Stuart   11
Margaret Ann Stuart   10
Isabella Stuart   8
Donald Stuart   6
Jim Isle Stuart   4
Bessy Stuart   2

Anc tree gives mother Isabella Davidson - 7 January 1861 - Petty, Inverness-shire, Scotland
passed away 28 December1943 - Loch Flemington, Petty.

STUART ISABELLA - 82 years -  1943 - 106/ 17 - Petty

This looks like birth of the brother Jim

STUART JIM ISLAY - F - 1896 - 098/ 544 - Inverness (not sure it should be gender F  ::))
