Wibberley from yorkshire
« on: Monday 09 October 17 04:22 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,

I would like some advice on how to find my deceased great uncle (grandads brother)

He was born and raised in the Huddersfield/Holmfirth area and then went to Oz.

Only thing I no about him is his name and date of birth.

Norman wibberley born between July and sept 1930

Also got noted he had one daughter but could be more

So far grandad has not managed to remember anything else sadly so I’m turning to you guys to get some tips.

Thank you
Holmfirth, Austonley, Hoylandswaine etc: WIBBERLEY and FIELD
Marriages from above names to....CROOKS, WHITELEY, KAYE, DEARNALLY
Waterford, Ireland: POWER and SULLIVAN (Osullivan also)

It is against the policy of rootschat to find living people and it is possible he is still living so I suggest removing his personal details.

You state he is deceased.  Where and when did he die?

Do you know his parents' names? Many Australian indexes include parent names and perhaps he changed his own forename - no-one so far has found anything about a Norman WIBBERLEY.

Edit to add - I see from free BMD that his mother's surname was FIELD, but some indexes only show the parents' first names.

I see that there is a Norman Wibberley listed in Queensland electoral rolls (Merthyr/New Farm in the Brisbane area) in the late 1970s up to at least 1980.
