« on: Tuesday 10 October 17 08:22 BST (UK) »
Please fix if possible this portrait of my great  grandmother and date if possible. Not sure if this was taken in Scotland or Canada

Thank you! Look like my photo is 546 kb which is too large I will crop it slightly and repost. I managed to get it under 500 kb

I love that hat!!  What a beauty!

Margaret herself looks rather severe!!     ;D

I suggest you go back to your original post and add 'dating' to the title to attract the dating whizzes!!    ;) ;)

Thank you ! When I first saw her  I also thought she looked a bit "severe". My father said she was anything but and had a great sense of humour and spoiled all her grandchildren terribly.

Hi Scega and welcome to RootsChat...I would suggest a date of early 1900s. Her rather severe appearance I think is down to her lack of teeth.

Agree Carol!    ;)

Welcome Scega!    Sorry, missed the fact that you were new in my last post.   :)

Not brilliant but I hope you can see her face a little more clearly.    :-\
