If I remember correctly, Wadsley Asylum records are available at Sheffield Archives.  AND looking at my notes for my inmate, South Yorkshire Admission records are available via FindMyPast (I haven't checked again since 2014).
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

No entry for Minnie on the admissions

Was that for dates up to 1911?

There is a death for a Minnie Jennings in Halifax Q2 1934, aged 67. It's the only death that comes up for that name and age.

I think this relates to
Arthur Jennings (1868 - 1951)
Minnie (nee Hall) Jennings (1867 - 1934)

buried in Halifax - too quick to see a connection to her sister!

Well, up to 1910 - the end of available records via FindMyPast.  Not sure what the criteria is for Sheffield Archives holding.
