Sabina Regan in Herdman family tree

I am following a name, Sabina Regan later Sabina Murphy, through census sheets from 1851 to 1911.
Daughter of Martin Regan (Raigan in 1851) and Bridget. Reputedly born in North Wales but I can find no record of her birth. There appears to be a continuity of family and children in the records except for 1881 where there is a woman called Mary Staunton at the same address who would appear to be her mother although other records have her mother as Bridget. There are various disparities in ages in all of the census forms so I am wondering if I have crossed different Sabinas. I did find a Sabina Staunton born in Ireland in 1845 but this would go against the other evidence.
Any ideas anyone how best to proceed or if you think I have confused persons in the census.

Without you transcribing in detail the census households that you are looking at , I wouldn't venture any opinion.

I've had a quick look and it looks right to me. The 1851 census (in Wrexham) and the 1861 (in Liverpool) show her as born in Wrexham circa 1848. After that things do get a little confusing.

Thanks Shaun. I have a marriage between Sabina Regan, daughter of Martin and Michael Murphy in 1896. Most of their children were born before that and looking at the census for 1881 an 1891 they might have been living as man and wife. With the exception of Sabina, which has no father on the birth document, the other children name Michael as father.

so Bentham you have her birth certificate and was she born in Wales then

Census forms indicate that Sabina Regan (b.about 1848) was born in Wales.
The 1878 Liverpool Catholic church register for Our Lady of Reconciliation does not have a father's name included.

The 1878 though is for the daughter Sabina not mother - sorry is that what you mean?
The first child to Sabina and Michael is Patrick. Is that right?

No, the first child is John. Born 1876, died 1878. Patrick was born in 1880. Both of these children have Michael as father.

You are right that Sabina (1878) is the daughter.

I didn’t look for an earlier child but it was just a bit confusing with the two Sabinas and the late marriage.
