Hi Westward,

May I ask if you read through the live links I provided in my reply before you replied at # 5   I ask this because the live links I posted err ...  :) take you to the following  :)

I didn't think this was a site where one is obligated to read anything or everything. Guess I'll go back to lurking.

Hi Westward,

I am sure there's no obligation to read anything or everything posted.  I am also sure that when anyone replies, that it makes good sense to have read the post to which one is replying, particularly to avoid repeating information already posted on the thread as part of the post to which one is replying.

I have been told that lurking can be addictive.  You may well find it is much better to actually join in and use your own offline resources to help advance our fellow members quests.

People living outside of Australia cannot get a NLA library card, other than when visiting the NLA , whereas they can access google news (free) and ancestry (pay). The SMH information at the NLA only goes to 1995.  It is also available through the NSW State Library for NSW residents for the same time period.

For more recent death/funeral notices - c. 2011 onwards, although some may be there for earlier years
