Looking for someone
« on: Saturday 04 November 17 19:09 GMT (UK) »
I am seeking information on a Romany Gypsy believed to be in England 5 years ago.
The name I was given was Jeremy Sanford and that is all I know but the only reference I can find is the screenwriter Jeremy Sandford who passed in 2003 and whilst he was involved with the travellers, I do not believe he was Romany
Any information or direction would be much appreciated

Hi

Welcome to Rootschat.

Rootschat policy is that details regarding living persons should not be discussed openly in public.

However, if the answer you were given was "Jeremy Sanford", then what was the question(s) you asked?

Put another way, what is the purpose of your search?

Quite a few people of that name appear on electoral registers.

But Rootschat is not a site to find living people.

From the guidelines page "Please do not post requests asking for help to find (possibly) living relatives or friends. RootsChat is a forum for searching for ancestors. Anything posted on the internet is in the public domain where anybody can see this information. To protect people and their identities we do not encourage the posting of information about people who are or maybe still living.
Even with permission from the subject of a post we would seriously advise against giving too much information as to betray their identity."

The best way to find living people is often to check out social media,Facebook,Twitter and the like.

Hi

That was my public response.

Want to tell me all about it via this personal message system?

You may need to post a 3rd time on your original thread ( just say something like "thanks again")
