Help to Find William Wilding Of Wolverhampton:
« on: Saturday 18 November 17 11:04 GMT (UK) »
I would appreciate any advice as to where I can obtain information as to what happened to William Wilding: This is a brick wall that had bugged me for a long time:

William Wilding was born 30/1/1901 in Wolverhampton Staffordshire No BMD's found for William:
William was the son of Harry Chambers Wilding and Elizabeth Beech, Elizabeth died age 27 years:
Harry Chambers Wilding remarried:
William is shown in the 1911 Census at home in Smestow Street Wolverhampton with his family

There was a brother born 17/11/1901 BMD available his name was Harry Wilding, 1911 Census shows Harry Wilding living  in Newport Gwent Wales: Living with his Aunt; Sister to his mother Elizabeth, her name Isabella Stokes:(I noted the dates of birth for William then Harry)

After years of searching I found William Wilding age 17 serving with the Royal British Air Force his age is shown as 17:
Occupation machinist
Service number 278642 Air Ref; 79/2425
Based at Shelburn Airforce base Elmet Yorkshire William is 18 years:
The contact name for William Wilding should he be injured, his is father Harry Chambers Wilding:

I have come to a dead end checked marriages, Shipping re immigration nothing.?
Any suggestion more than welcome would love to know what happened to him.

Where have you got William's date of birth from if you haven't found a birth registration?. He should be on 1901 census as a 2 month old baby if dob correct. He doesn't appear on 1901 census with Harry Chambers Wilding, Elizabeth and two older sisters.
Could he actually be the 2nd wife's child? Have you tracked down all the children she says she has had by 1911?
