***COMPLETED***Lambeth death 1859
« on: Friday 24 November 17 08:57 GMT (UK) »
Hi

Can anyone help with the death of Jane MCLEOD in Lambeth Dec 1/4 1859 please?
I've lost a lady from Scotland and her daughter and son were in Lambeth in 1861.

Age, last address perhaps. Anything

Thanks

You can easily find the age at death from the GRO website. https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp

This shows she was 69.

Burial register of St. Giles, Camberwell, 25 November 1859: Jane McLeod, aged 69.

Have only seen a transcription - the original image may have an address.

Entry under Norwood Cemetery gives address as St Thomas Hospital.

Are there two people named Jane McLeod who died in December quarter 1859 - this one was buried 29 December 1859, aged 30?  Answer - YES  ;D ;D

Census information suggests that she was born about 1792 so the 69 year old could be a possibility. In 1861 her daughter lived at 12 Oxford Terrace, Lambeth
